Girls Gone Wild at Slippery Rock
This past Saturday Girls Gone Wild was supposed to be at Ginger Hill in Slippery Rock. It was cancelled due to a feminist protest. I am neutral about it and did not know if I would end up attending Ginger Hill or not but I do not think it should have been cancelled. I think if you do not want to be apart of it just do not go or make yourself apart of it in any way. Why do you have to cancel the event just because a certain amount of people are against it. How about the people that did want to go and have a good time. I am writing this blog to see how many people were for Girls Gone Wild in Slippery Rock and how many were against it. Let me know your final thoughts on the issue?

Summer Classes at the Rock
I think it is great that Slippery Rock offers many classes students can take in the summer here at the Rock. Some colleges do not offer such a big selection of classes that students can take in the summer. For instance if you need classes to graduate and do not meet graduation in the spring you can always take them in the summer and graduate in the summer instead of having to wait until the end of fall to graduate. I personally am going to take a class in the summer because I am 3 credits behind schedule of where I want to be in my major. Just the fact that I can take a class for about 3 weeks and get the normal 3 credits as if I took it during spring or fall session is wonderful. I am glad Slippery Rock has great options like this to offer its students who need the extra classes in summer for whatever the reason may be.

Expanding the Recreation Center
The recreation center is great here at Slippery Rock. My only complaint is that the gym should be expanded because of the size and machines available. There is not enough room at all it seems anymore to get a good workout in without waiting for a certain machine. If you go to the gym anytime from 3-11 I guarantee you too will complain about the over population of people in the gym. So I am writing this blog to see what others thoughts are on maybe if it is possible expanding the weight room part of the arc and adding more machines. Then everyone would have a chance to workout when they wanted and would not get frustrated waiting around to exercise because everyone has that certain time where they can fit it in their schedule. If they have to wait around to long some will lose that time and maybe even after a while quit trying to workout all together.

Swine Flu on Campus
It seems like everyone is worried about the swine flu on campus. I already know two people that think they have it and most of my friends are getting sick. I think that Slippery Rock should start making more students get the flu shot. If they do this then it makes the problem less likely of spreading through the entire campus. I often wonder, would if someone that has swine flu worked out in the arc and then spread it. Almost everyone works out on the same equipment and that could be very dangerous. Let me know what you think we should do about trying to not spread this deadly virus?
